At Aliso Ridge Behavioral Health, the strength of our care starts with the strength of our clinical leaders. Today, we are proud to highlight Cassidy Desmore, ASW, our Lead Therapist, whose extensive background in crisis intervention and community outreach is helping shape the future of our inpatient units.
A Proven Leader in Crisis and Outreach
Cassidy’s journey to becoming a Lead Therapist at Aliso Ridge is built on a foundation of service. Her experience in homeless outreach gave her a deep, first-hand understanding of the challenges facing our most vulnerable populations. By bringing that “boots-on-the-ground” empathy into the inpatient psychiatric setting, Cassidy has become a vital asset to our multidisciplinary teams.
As Lead Therapist, Cassidy focuses on:
- Clinical Leadership: Guiding therapeutic teams to provide evidence-based, compassionate care.
- Strategic Collaboration: Working alongside doctors, nurses, and specialists to streamline patient recovery.
- Unit Culture: Fostering a supportive, positive work environment where both staff and patients can thrive.
A New Perspective on Care
While Cassidy is a leader in the hospital, she recently took on a life-changing role at home: becoming a mother to her five-month-old daughter, Amairani.
“Becoming a new parent has brought a whole new perspective to my life both personally and professionally,” Cassidy shares. This shift has only deepened her passion for supporting families through crisis and ensuring that every patient at Aliso Ridge feels seen, heard, and supported.
Strengthening the Aliso Ridge Community
Cassidy is dedicated to using her experience to strengthen teamwork across our units. Her goal is to ensure that our clinical environment is not just a place of healing for patients, but a place of growth and positivity for our entire staff.
