Inpatient Intake & Admissions Process at Aliso Ridge Behavioral Health and Anaheim Community Hospital
Being admitted to a hospital can be a scary or confusing time. Inpatient admission is a necessary first step toward getting the professional medical attention patients in the Orange County area deserve. Aliso Ridge Behavioral Health and Anaheim Community Hospital are here to make sure your needs, or those of someone you love, will be met with compassion and empathy.
Our Assessment and Mental Health Referral Department works to ensure that the admission process is as easy as possible for our patients. Equally important is helping potential patients and families to feel comfortable and knowledgeable about the hospitalization process. As such, we encourage you to call and speak to one of our inpatient admission professionals about the programs and services that are offered by our facilities. To begin the process, all you need to do is pick up the phone and call our Intake and Referral Department. Someone is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to take your call at (949) 900-8600.
Assessment
Our goal during the assessment process is for you to feel comfortable and informed. An assessment allows us to efficiently and effectively evaluate how you are feeling emotionally and physically so that we may identify the program and services that would best meet your needs. Feel free to bring a family member or friend, as this may be helpful for support and to assist in the assessment process.
Packing for Your Stay
It is our goal to provide the highest quality of healthcare to our clients. In order to do so, we have established some guidelines for your stay. Many of these guidelines are in response to mental health laws and regulations, and all of our guidelines seek to protect the safety of our patients. Please bring no more than 3 days’ worth of clothing for your inpatient stay.
Professional Referrals
We value our partnerships and relationships within the community, and as an independent psychiatric hospital, we rely upon referrals from you and your colleagues for continued growth and success. Our Intake and Referral Department is open 24/7 to better serve you and your patients’ needs.
Family Referrals
We also accept family referrals. We know the position you are in and what you are going through. That’s why we understand how difficult it can be to ask a family member or friend for a referral. If you are unsure about how to approach your family member or friend, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer all your questions and guide you step by step.
Self-Referrals
One of the hardest things to do is to admit you have a problem. We accept self-referrals at our facility because we recognize the importance of self-diagnosis. Once you’ve admitted you need help, you’ll have already taken the first, and most important, step to recovery. Recognizing you need help with your mental health issue or addiction is a monumental step on the road to recovery and rehabilitation. But you don’t have to walk this path alone; we are here to help you every step of the way.
