Jordan Yevilov, Outpatient Therapist
When individuals take the step to seek outpatient mental health care, they are often looking for more than just clinical techniques. They want a therapist who understands how deeply life’s unexpected challenges can shake personal identity and daily stability.
At Aliso Ridge Behavioral Health, our Outpatient Services team is committed to providing care that meets clients wherever they are on their path. Today, we are proud to introduce Jordan Yevilov, an outpatient therapist whose personal resilience and clinical focus in trauma and addiction recovery help individuals uncover purpose, build strength, and achieve lasting growth.
From Personal Adversity to a Passion for Therapy
For Jordan, the drive to support others through mental health care grew out of lived experience. After navigating a life-changing injury that challenged him to rebuild his own sense of purpose, while also witnessing loved ones face mental health struggles, Jordan dedicated his life to walking beside others through life’s toughest moments.
“My passion for therapy grew from my own experience with a life-changing injury that resulted in a loss of identity and challenged me to find a renewed sense of purpose in life. I believe every person has untapped potential, and I am passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths, overcome barriers, and reach their full potential.”
That lived perspective shapes Jordan’s work every day: therapy is not about defining someone by what they have been through, but helping them realize what they are capable of overcoming.
Specialized Support for Addiction and Trauma Recovery
Trauma, behavioral challenges, and substance use patterns rarely occur in a vacuum. Often, emotional distress and past experiences become intertwined, making everyday life feel overwhelming or disconnected.
Jordan’s clinical background is rooted in addiction and trauma treatment. Within our outpatient programs, he works with individuals confronting a wide variety of emotional and behavioral hurdles, including:
Navigating past traumatic events and unpacking deep emotional pain in a safe space.
Developing sustainable coping patterns, accountability, and long-term sobriety strategies.
Working through identity loss, unexpected life shifts, and major personal changes.
Managing anxiety triggers, stress responses, and restoring daily equilibrium.
By focusing on root causes rather than just surface behaviors, Jordan supports clients in breaking through barriers that may have kept them feeling stuck.
A Compassionate, Strengths-Based Approach
No two recovery journeys look alike. Jordan applies a compassionate, holistic, and strengths-based philosophy tailored to the personal background and goals of each person he treats.
Rather than concentrating only on deficits or symptoms, a strengths-based model focuses on what is already within reach: your innate resilience, values, and personal resources. In practice, Jordan partners with clients to:
- Identify Core Strengths: Uncover the internal tools and resilience you already have to navigate difficult circumstances.
- Develop Healthy Coping Strategies: Practice practical cognitive and emotional tools to manage triggers and day-to-day stressors.
- Create Meaningful Change: Set realistic, sustainable goals that foster self-worth and a clear direction forward.
This supportive therapeutic dynamic allows individuals to move beyond simply getting through the day and start building a life of purpose.
